Theme: Diversity & Inclusion for Practitioners
Style: Mainly Lecture
Session on 3 June 2020 09:00 - View on timetable
Diversity comes in many guises. One that is relatively invisible but becomes perceptible in the use of language, current strengths, and shadow issues, is a person’s stage of adult maturity or leadership development.
This session aims to explain the stages of development to you, and provide you with the tell-tale signs of a person’s centre of gravity. This then gives rise to their trailing edge ripe for shadow resolution, and their leading edge or window of evolution. I will share coaching techniques and tips relative to the stages, their strengths, and challenges, to enable you to customise interactions with your coaching clients. You will also be able to create a developmental plan relative to your own evolutionary growth in order to expand your coaching presence.
Dr Antoinette Braks enables senior executives and their organisations make quantum shifts in leadership effectiveness, people engagement, and business performance through executive coaching, consulting in organisational development and the design and delivery of SHIFT transformation programmes and strategic off-sites. Clients expand their strategic perspective and market presence, and build an empowering workplace while executives navigate uncertainty and complexity with confidence.
Her extensive coaching and consulting experience over the last 25 years has been in infrastructure, business, engineering and banking services, and across the public sector in Australia: Education, Family & Community Services, Finance & Services, Health, Police, Primary Industries, and Transport. Antoinette focuses specifically on enabling senior executives to make rapid transitions to later stage post-conventional leadership and for their organisations to shift through the levels of green and teal. Her PhD distilled the specific drivers, dynamics, and dilemmas that lead to later stage development, and the changes in perception that activate evolution to an expanded perspective.
